by Rill

When you first create an account in Thunderbird using imap, you may only see your inbox. If you want to be able to access your other folders, here's what you can do.

Subscribe to Your Folders

  1. On your username in the tree, right click "Shift+F10" or use your context key on your keyboard. You are at level one of the tree. For example, right click "".
  2. Arrow down to "subscribe".
  3. Press enter.
  4. Alternatively, you can open the file menu.
    1. Press "Alt+f". The file menu appears.
    2. Arrow down to "subscribe"
    3. Press enter.
    4. Select your username in the combo box which appears.
    5. Press tab.
  5. A list of all your folders appears. Select the ones you want to see in the folder tree.
  6. Tab to the "subscribe" button.
  7. Press enter.

Voila! Your folders now appear.

Should you ever not want to see any of your folders, repeat these steps but click on the "unsubscribe" button instead.
